Treatment

Neurosurgery & spine

Conditions of the brain and spine need experienced teams and modern equipment. Neurosurgeons and neurologists in India review your MRI or CT scans and explain whether surgery is needed, what it involves and what other options exist.

Conditions we can help with

  • Brain and spinal cord tumours
  • Slipped disc, sciatica and spinal stenosis
  • Scoliosis and other spinal deformities
  • Hydrocephalus
  • Epilepsy that does not respond to medicines
  • Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders
  • Brain aneurysms and vascular malformations

Treatments and procedures

  • Microsurgery and image-guided (navigation) tumour surgery
  • Minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery
  • Spinal fusion and deformity correction
  • Epilepsy surgery evaluation
  • Deep brain stimulation (DBS) evaluation for suitable patients
  • Endovascular treatment (coiling) by neuro-interventional teams

Availability of a technique depends on the hospital and on your case.

Your journey

How it usually goes

  1. 1

Send your MRI/CT reports and images, plus a timeline of your symptoms.

  2. 2

The neurosurgeon gives an opinion, explains the options and provides an estimate.

  3. 3

On arrival: consultation, repeat imaging if needed, and pre-operative tests.

  4. 4

Surgery or procedure, then intensive monitoring and rehabilitation.

  5. 5

Discharge with a rehabilitation plan and follow-up scans scheduled.

How long you may stay in India

As general guidance: after spine surgery, a total stay in India of about two to three weeks is common. After brain surgery, around three to four weeks is common so that the team can monitor your recovery. Complex cases can take longer. Your surgeon gives an estimate for your case.

General guidance only. Every case is different, and the hospital gives its own estimate for you.

What to send for a free review

  • Neurologist or neurosurgeon notes
  • EEG reports for epilepsy
  • A short timeline of symptoms (when they started, how they changed)

Clear phone photos are fine to start with. Please don’t post medical details on public social media.
